FAQs FOR LAB DRAWS

  • A: We always send the lab order as soon as we create it. Search your email for “inspire health.”

  • A: If you are a female who is still cycling, please have your labs drawn on Day 21 of your cycle (or as close to Day 21 as possible, Days 19-22). If you are not cycling (post-menopause or postpartum, etc.) have them drawn any day. If you are on Hormone troches, please have your labs drawn 6-7 hours after your morning dose. Hormone labs are non-fasting.

  • A: If you are not on hormone troches, please try your best to fast before your Comprehensive Lab Panel (only water).

If you are taking hormone troches, you must have your labs drawn 6-7 hours after your morning dose and we know you need fuel. Drink only water and eat fruit only! Plain sweet potatoes are okay too. NO oils, salt, meat, eggs, fats such as avocados/nuts/etc.

Raw fruit or sweet potatoes keeps your cholesterol at your body’s true levels. The other foods listed above will affect Triglycerides in the labs!

  • A: Jen will know how to interpret the labs if you had a cold when you got them drawn, just let her know in your session!

FAQs FOR PEPTIDE THERAPY

  • A: You were most likely sent an insulin syringe, a very small syringe with an orange cap with “units” listed on the side. Insulin syringe 100 units = 1 mL

  • A: Before you insert the syringe into the vial, you want to pull back on the syringe while it is empty to the mark on the syringe that is the amount you will be drawing up. Then insert the needle into the rubber top of the vial, and inject the air into the vial.

Then with the needle still in, turn the vial upside down and pull back to fill your syringe with the prescribed amount of medication. You can watch the video linked above and right about the 3:20 ish mark of this video will show how to inject air and pull back medication!
